Before we begin I have to tell you a little secret.... closer...just a little bit closer...good. Can you hear me? Ok good...here goes *ahem* well....
This is my first blog post. Ever.
That's right, I know shocking! In fact I only started reading blogs or really even knew what a blog was for about 3 months now so please forgive me if this is boring, or lame, or awkward here as I get the hang of it.
I created this blog as a way to keep myself motivated and to hold myself accountable for my actions towards meeting my goals. I mean if people are going to read this I HAVE to stick to it! I'm going to say this in my very first post because, well, it's true. I'm the kind of person that will let things slide, you know... no one's watching...what's 1 candy bar gonna hurt? Oh, I gained 5 lbs? Maybe no one will notice. Well I need YOU to notice! I need YOU to be watching! You have my permission right here and now that whenever you see me slackin', complainin', cheatin' or feeling beaten. Take your finger and flick the end of my nose, just hard enough to scare the crap outta me and bring a tear to my eye. Say "STOP IT! Get your poop in a group!" I know, I know I'm the only one that can change my life, I'm the only one that can make good decisions for myself. I'm the only one that can finish MY race... But you know what? It sure will be easier when I have a bunch fierce and fiesty banders cheering my name, handing me water and towels along the way when I think I can't go on, telling me "It's ONLY 3 more miles, suck it up!" HA!
I do not have the lap-band.....But i'm getting one!!! I am currently 4 months into my 6 month supervised diet. My last appointment is the end of May and *fingers crossed* my insurance approves me and surgery will be mid June. I have already done my nutrition session AND my psych eval, just waiting on this last LITTLE thing (can you detect the sarcasm? My insurance company is not on my good side right now, but I'll save that for another day!)
Ok, enough about that...wanna see a picture of me and my beautiful girls?
